Sovan Philong is an independent professional photographer working and living in Phnom Penh. Beginning his professional career in 2009, he worked as a press photographer for The Phnom Penh Post and then later on for the Xinua News Agency.

Philong has developed several personal projects in conjunction with Studio Images of the French Cultural Center Cambodia that were exhibited during the festival, Photo Phnom Penh and published in local and international publications.

Recently relocating to Cambodia from France where he studied at Ecole Nationale Supérieure Louis-Lumière through the support of the French Government grant, Philong joins Our City Festival as the City Curator for Phnom Penh.
